Resumo

ABSTRACT
The mining of software repositories generates useful and relevant
knowledge for project management with direct application in effort
estimates, task distribution and resource allocation. This work
presents the RIT Library, which mines communication data from
issue tracking repositories on GitHub, in order to calculate the
thematic relevance of issue comments. To validate the library, a
two-step validation procedure was applied: a validation of the results
by comparing them with the opinion of business experts; and a
proof of concept, which exemplifies the use of the library in a client
application, highlighting how the different views of the generated
data can be useful for future analyzes in external tools.
