ELEMENTOS DA ECOGASTRONOMIA COMO FATOR DE CONTRIBUIÇÃO PARA POTENCIALIZAR O TURISMO NO PARQUE NACIONAL DOS LENÇÓIS MARANHENSES

A Ecogastronomia, termo cunhado por Carlo Petrini na Itália, segue alguns princípios e propõe uma alimentação capaz de preservar os grupos sociais, a biodiversidade e os modos de produção, assegurando a produção e comercialização de produtos alimentícios. Essa nova forma de se alimentar associada ao turismo sinaliza uma alternativa para a geração de renda e melhoria da qualidade de vida dos povoados de Barreirinhas – MA; portal de entrada do PNLM (Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses). O trabalho fundamentou os aspectos geo-históricos e econômicos de Barreirinhas para elencar potencialidades ecogastronômicas de seus povoados e seu reflexo no atrativo turístico. Esse estudo objetiva analisar as possibilidades, dos elementos alimentares, humanos e de infraestrutura, que compõe a ecogastronomia, contribuir como alternativa para aumento da prática do turismo, gerando renda para as comunidades menos assistidas. Com uma abordagem descritiva e método quantitativo, o questionário como instrumento de avaliação, originou uma interpretação que revela grande aceitação e aprovação quanto ao deslocamento para usufruir de novos atrativos, bem como traça o perfil positivo dos respondentes acerca dos elementos da ecogastronomia.
