TURISMO E MUSEUS: Análise Comparativa da Demanda Turística (2011-2016) do Museu Imperial/RJ

O Grupo de Pesquisa Turismo, Cultura e Sociedade (T-Cult) da Universidade Federal Fluminense, desde 2011, entre alguns de seus projetos, busca analisar o potencial turístico dos museus. Para isso, realiza estudos sobre a demanda turística dos museus federais do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, entre os quais está o Museu Imperial, localizado em Petrópolis, na Região Serrana, que fez parte da primeira edição da pesquisa do T-Cult, em 2011. Assim, em 2016, o grupo retornou à instituição vinculada ao IBRAM/MinC para realizar um comparativo dos dados coletados em 2011, antes da Copa do Mundo de 2014, com os dados de 2016, obtidos anteriormente aos Jogos Olímpicos do Rio de Janeiro. A pesquisa é de natureza exploratória e se utilizou de metodologia investigativa de demanda turística. Por meio dos resultados alcançados, foi possível analisar o perfil do turista, o contexto sociocultural da visita e sua percepção sobre a qualidade do Museu Imperial como atrativo cultural.
