Abstract

Será abordado no presente artigo o desenvolvimento do turismo étnico que verifica-se em diversas comunidades indígenas como atrativo turístico. Para a análise da temática em questão realizamos um recorte territorial, ou seja, será pesquisado mais especificamente a Reserva Indígena de Dourados, localizada no Mato Grosso do Sul. Além disso, este artigo tem como objetivo refletir as mudanças que a aplicação deste tipo de atividade pode trazer para a população indígena estudada e a forma com que estes reagem sob a forma como turismo é realizado em seu território. Nessa fase inicial da pesquisa nos pautaremos em referenciais teóricos voltados a questões referentes ao turismo étnico, aos indígenas, sua inclusão na atividade turística e em estudos específicos sobre o turismo desenvolvido na Reserva Indígena de Dourados (MS).
