Abstract

Este trabalho busca apresentar a evolução do processo de categorização dos municípios das Instâncias de Governança do Estado de Santa Catarina, iniciando em 2013 e finalizando com sua última atualização, no início de 2018. Para isto, utilizou-se de pesquisa bibliográfica de caráter exploratório, bem como pesquisa documental, visando identificar as categorias em que os municípios das regiões turísticas de Santa Catarina estão enquadrados e a evolução histórica deste processo. Foi identificada uma evolução na quantidade dos municípios categorizados, e uma melhoria na categorização, com a diminuição de municípios na Categoria E, migrando para a D e C. Identificou-se também que as regiões com atividade turística em consolidação contam com municípios categorizados nas classes A, B e C.
