MIND THE GAP: LONDRES VERSUS CIDADE MARAVILHOSA – UM ESTUDO DO SISTEMA METROVIÁRIO COMO FACILITADOR DO TURISMO

Abstract

O sistema metroviário é um dos elementos mais importantes para o desenvolvimento da sociedade e da atividade turística. Assim, o presente trabalho dedica-se a estudar o sistema ferroviário, com especial destaque ao sistema que melhor atende a cidade de Londres, o metroviário. Com o objetivo de analisar e apresentar um diagnóstico parcial do transporte metroviário de Londres buscou-se propor possíveis melhorias para o mesmo sistema desenvolvido na Cidade Maravilhosa. Para tanto, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o assunto, a partir de uma base metodológica descritiva, na tentativa de estabelcer ainda comparações com outros modais de transporte. Nessa perspectiva, concluiu-se que o sistema metroviário, quando bem planejado e interligado aos demais modais, pode beneficiar o acesso a diversos atrotivos turísticos devido à agilidade e comodidade do serviço.
