Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the practices of Entrepreneurship Education in the perception of undergraduate students of the Center for Applied Social Sciences – Business Administration, of a Community University in the state of Santa Catarina. The methodological procedures were divided in two stages: an exploratory step with a qualitative approach and a descriptive step with a quantitative approach. The exploratory stage was developed through a documentary analysis of the undergraduate courses, followed by a quantitative survey with the application of a survey, which was applied to 659 students of the courses in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Marketing and Human Resources. The analysis of the results of the research showed the activities of the courses of the Center for Applied Social Sciences that contributed to the students’ entrepreneurial formation. Although the results show that some practices need to be improved and developed among the students, the responses to the survey indicate that there is an interest in entrepreneurship among students, and that the institution promotes actions to develop entrepreneurial skills. As a main contribution, the research showed that expository-dialogue classes are most used for the teaching of entrepreneurship. This result indicates a need to develop differentiated teaching practices aimed at the active (participatory) learning of the students.
