Abstract

The emotions can be investigated through a questioning of the individual's feelings in a certain context, or when submitted to certain working situations. The main objective of this work is to determine how emotional experiences affect learning in professionals working at a hospital institution. The study is characterized as a quantitative study, and the type of strategy adopted is the exploratory one, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The research was carried out with a sample of 348 employees of the institution, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and factorial analysis. The results show that the main causes of emotional suffering which affect the learning of employees are: Professional errors, career disappointments, and personal trauma, in that order.
