Abstract

This study aims to analyze which of the dimensions ("information and knowledge", "internal environment", or "external interaction") most influences the "results of innovation" of the companies that participated in the research. The sample is composed of 354 companies in the State of Paraná. Three research hypotheses were established: H1) organizations that have internal environments with more favorable conditions for innovation present better results; H2) organizations that intensively adopt practices of sharing information and knowledge present better results of innovation; and H3) organizations that have more interaction with external partners present better innovation outcomes. To answer these three hypotheses, exploratory factorial analyzes were first carried out, seeking to observe which items of each dimension best represented the factors, Multiple regressions were then adopted, which confirmed the three hypotheses. Besides the validity of the scales, the result of this analysis allows us to affirm that: (i) a favorable organizational environment for information and knowledge sharing among collaborators contributes positively to the innovative capacity of companies; (ii) external interaction with customers and suppliers is the most significant factor for generating results; and (iii) the internal environment is the dimension that most contributes to innovation results.
