Antônio de Mello, the current mayor of Moneró, a fictitious city on the northern coast of Espírito Santo, has to respond to numerous complaints from residents of the Jardim Valter neighborhood alleging possible irregularities in the construction of a viaduct to improve traffic in the area. For the former mayor of Moneró the subject of the work on the José Passos viaduct was already closed. But for the current Municipal Chief Executive, the decision made by the former mayor requires more careful examination. Are the local inhabitants right? This case study enables the student to place him/herself in the position of Municipal Public Manager. It was developed for use on undergraduate, specialization and master's degree courses in Business Administration, Public Administration and Municipal Public Management.Downloads
