Abstract

It is generally agreed that people management [PM] practices should result in new strategic approaches for the role in the area of PM. This article analyzes how PM practices are perceived by workers in management and non-management positions in different units of a textile company. For this study, a descriptive survey was applied, through the “Google Forms” virtual platform. The sample consisted of 101 company professionals, selected for their accessibility and convenience. Using a quantitative approach, the participants were selected and divided into two groups: managers and non-managers of units A and B. The data obtained were linked to five PM practices: Capture, Retention, Development, Contract and Work Environment. The research results showed uniformity in relation to the level of perception of PM practices among both the managers and non-managers. However, differences in PM practices were found between units A and B in terms of the level of perception of employees with management positions.
