Abstract

The growing importance of logistics is leading to an increase in the outsourcing of these activities, and as a result, companies are increasingly forming partnerships with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs). Within this context, a multi-criteria methodology is presented, based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) which discusses the issue of selecting suppliers/partners, explicitly considering a series of often-conflicting performance, which in some form influences company performance. This work concludes that the methodology presented is capable of distinguishing whether LSPs are efficient or inefficient, constructing a ranking to support the decision.
