Abstract

This article presents an analysis of excerpts from the Virtual Journal “Memórias literárias – Se bem me lembro” (Literary Memories – If I recall correctly), a text prepared by the Portuguese Language Olympics “Escrevendo o Futuro” (Writing the Future), 6th edition, under three dimensions of the teaching work; formative, prescriptive and planned. Based on the analysis, we seek to identify what is proposed, and the form these three dimensions that surround a teacher’s work take. This research is part of the theoretical-methodological field of Socio-Discursive Interactionism (ISD), the premises of which contribute to the understanding of the language-teaching work relationship. The results indicate that the proposal of this text permeates the three dimensions of work, and that the teaching of language in a discursive dimension is its primary objective, from the perspective of textual genres. It was also seen that the sequences used by the journal “Memórias literárias – Se bem me lembro” are an important tool for the development of language and teaching work.
