This phenomenological study reflects on the question of freedom, based on an analysis of the movie “The enigma of Kaspar Hauser”. This analysis was inspired, especially, by the thought of Hannah Arendt. Throughout the study, issues are unveiled such as; the (de)naturalization of human development, the significance of relationships in the development process, the learning process, and the significance of the absence and presence of others. Lastly, the study shows the condition of human plurality as fundamental in the process of identity formation and human freedom.Downloads
