Abstract

This article analyzes three basic aspects of Children’s Literature, seeking to gain a better understanding of its aesthetic characteristics and the practical functions of children’s narrative in society: namely; sources, modalities and orality, concepts which are linked to various considerations regarding children’s fiction.
