Keywords:
Reading, Verbal /non-verbal language, Photojournalism.Abstract
Using subtitles produced in the field of Photojournalism, this study addresses the relationship between the verbal and non-verbal, from a perspective of reading and text production practices. Of the different reflections offered, besides the issue of autonomy of the verbal in relation to the non-verbal (and vice-versa) in photojournalism, those that stand out relate to notions of reading and text production, those concerning the figure of the author (and authorship) and the target reader, as well as those that seek to accommodate the effects of literal interpretation, redundancy and the rule of discursive genre in the production and reading of the text.Downloads
