WALLON AND EDUCATION: an integrated view of the teacher and the student

Henri Wallon’s psychogenetic theory constitutes the conceptual basis chosen as the framework for this study, because, by bringing contributions for an understanding of human development, it offers important concepts and principles for understanding a person as a whole, and the teacher’s role in the classroom. Firstly, the text focus on the Wallon’s psychogenetic theory of the individual, outlining the domains that comprise it; it then goes on to emphasize the Me-Other relationship in the making of the individual, and consequently, that of the teacher It then outlines the relationship between Wallon and education, and last but not least, it shows the presence of the domains of affection, cognition, motor act and person, in the teacher’s everyday lives.Downloads
