Abstract

Among the factors that contribute to environmental problems faced in recent times, anthropic action can be emphasized because it acts negatively on the environment. Thus, the development of new strategies to mitigate this action, such as environmental education, could help train people who are concerned about natural systems, based on the principle that in order to preserve, it is necessary to understand. Educational games are among the various tools that can be used. These are designed mainly for children, to help them construct, from childhood, an awareness of environmental conservation. The Gurjaú Ecological Reserve, located on the border of the municipal districts of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Cabo de Santo Agostinho and Moreno, in the State of Pernambuco, is suffering environmental damage. Therefore, it is extremely important to raise awareness among the residents who are clearing local forests for the introduction of agriculture uses. This proposal addresses the importance of educational games for raising awareness among children who visit the Ecological Reserve, as well as those who live and study in schools in the area, instilling in them, from an early age, a sense of collectiveness and enabling them to become multipliers who will encourage their families not to cause deforestation within the reserve
