The present article aims to identify, through the statements of students of the Pedagogy Course of Universidade Estadual de Londrina, their perceptions in relation to gender and teaching. The methodology used in this study was the qualitative approach. Seeking to obtain these students’ perceptions, bibliographic research, document analysis, and field research were used as investigative procedures. At the end of the research, it was verified that the students relate teaching with aspects of infantilization and feminization. Another important point to note is that the curriculum of the Pedagogy course of the Universidade Estadual de Londrina needs to take a new look at gender and teaching, and can contribute to the formation of the critical reading of the world and the human condition of the students of the course in question.
