Income and accommodation: A macro sociological perspective for understanding the tourism system in the city of Buenos Aires

Abstract

This work seeks to resolve a problem tackled by various academics. What is the factor, within the tourism system, that most influences the choice of accommodation? Using the experimental method, we analyzed data from the National Tourism Secretary (Secretaria de Turismo de La Nación) and the INDEC The theoretical framework of the work makes reference to transport as the element that most influences guests. However, the results obtained appear to refute this idea, since the other variables such as income appear to have a greater influence on this decision.
