This work proposes an interpretative route, taking in the Historical Center of Florianópolis (SC), with the main objective of establishing relationships between the use of the historical and cultural heritage of the study area and the development of tourism in this city, which is the capital of the State of Santa Catarina. The methodology used to interpret the historical heritage, as well as the bibliographic and documentary review, technical visit, and guidelines from the Guia Brasileiro de Sinalização Turística (Brazilian Guide to Tourism Signs) served as the basis for this research, and for establishing a proposal for an interpretative route, which is the principal result of this study. Thus, the first part of the study discusses the concepts inherent to the creation of tourism routes, highlighting issues relating to the historical heritage and the means of interpreting it. In the second part, it seeks to carry out a historical and geographical contextualization of the area, indicating issues related to the origins of the occupation of Florianópolics, and linking it to the alterations in the urban landscape. Finally, the third part brings, as the results of this study, an investigation of tourism resources available and the formation of a historical and cultural tourism route, which is presented and denominated Caminhos da Sagrada Desterro, including considerations regarding the stages needed to make it viable. Key words words: Historical and Cultural Heritage. Interpretative Route. Historical Center of Florianópolis.Downloads
