The necessary multidisciplinarity in public tourism planning

This work focuses on the analysis of tourism planning for sustainable development. It seeks to demonstrate the necessary multidisciplinarity across the entire planning process. The methodology places a priority on descriptive research, of a fundamentally qualitative nature, through bibliographic review and, considering that the methodology most used to analyze the social sciences is dialectics, it seeks to use dialectic thought in the construction of this work. This study also attempts to clarify the role of the government in the planning and development of tourism, and also, the lack of commitment of the planner. It concludes by indicating the importance of the role of teaching institutions in preparing professionals who are trained to carry out planning within the multidisciplinarity of the tourism system Key words: Tourism, multidisciplinarity; planning.Downloads
