The teaching of entrepreneurial skills lacks studies to support the creation of a methodology for creating entrepreneurs. Thus, the objective of this article is to contribute to the understanding of the teaching-learning process, by analyzing the pedagogical concepts and practices in institutes of higher education (IES). Data were collected from three IHEs in North America, and 21 in Brazil. The results reveal several similarities, such as the perception that business courses give more attention to large organizations than to small and medium sized ones, and the fact that the teaching of entrepreneurial skills may increase creative thinking, innovation and the ability to discover and resolve problems in an creative way. However, in Brazil, there is a lack of training for researchers and specialized teachers.Downloads
