The curriculum in pre-teacher service education: Commitment to the formation of a teacher-researcher

This article is organized based on studies and reflections on pre-teacher service education and the importance of research in teacher education. It highlights the importance of pre-service teacher education, with the purpose of contributing to the education of a reflective teacher and researcher. These reflections are relevant as they can be of use to researchers, teacher educators, educational institutions, and other professors within the school system. Research can therefore be fundamental requirement for the work of the teacher. This article may also suggest indicators for a curricular restructuring, in which research forms the bases of formation and an essential component of teacher education.Downloads
