The text analyses some processes of cultural negotiation resulting from the presence of afro-descendents in Higher Education. The source of the research was afro-descendents belonging to the Negraeva community in the municipal district of Campo Grande, in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, who were able to enter university through the Negraeva Project. From the research it was concluded that their presence in different courses and in different universities (one a government institution and two private universities) produced a set of negotiations, prompting discussions and practices that were not part of the course curriculum of these institutions.Downloads
