Abstract

The subject of this article is the influence of the stakeholders who form part of the decision-making processes of guesthouse managers in Bombinhas, Santa Catarina. It uses the theoretical bases of stakeholders proposed by Stoner and Freeman (1985) and Freeman (1999). The descriptive quantitative method was chosen, with the application of a questionnaire. The sample consisted of ten of the twelve guesthouses affiliated with the APHB (Associação de Pousadas e Hotéis de Bombinhas - Association of Guesthouses and Hotels in Bombinhas). The data analysis indicates that the clients are very influential in the decision-making. Key words: Tourism; Strategy; Stakeholders; Visitors.
