The Educational Cooperative Program “A União Faz a Vida” (Union brings Life) of SICREDI Foundation is aligned with the new roles assigned to the neoliberal state in basic education, and is part of contemporary reforms that express interest in participating in the formation of a new civic culture. We therefore reflect on the type of citizen that the PUFV has been seeking to foster through its educational projects, consolidating the strategies of capital with implications for democracy and social rights, going against the emancipation of the working class.
